Free Will: Your Destiny is not Tied

Free Will: Your Destiny is not Tied. A poetry video by Najma Hush presenting poetic verse and visual arts accompanied with music. All copyrights reserved (2016). This film features synchronised footage of burlesque dancers at SwingamaJigs Festival and fire eaters from El Dorado Festival (2016). The main burlesque dancers who have been animated to the music in this video are, Miss Kitty Bang Bang and Eliza Delite. The names of the three other dancers featured herewith, are presently unknown. Any further information provided, would be appreciated so that they may be appropriately credited.
* Note: The final quote in the poem is in Arabic and has directly been quoted from the Quran “Hasbunallahu wa ni`mal Wakil’: حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Translated as ”God (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of our affairs.” آل عمران‎ : Surah Al ‘Imran (3:173)

No Greater Reward

No Greater Reward: A poetography video by Najma Hush, presenting poetic verse and visual arts accompanied with Maurice Ravel’s ” Jeux D’Eau” Poetry and photography by Najma Hush. All copyrights reserved (2016). This film features the synchronisation of double exposure images with music, spoken word and visual text. Footage includes videos of rain on the window screens of moving vehicles, layered with a Japanese fish pond, a baby Blue tit rescued and taken in by the poet for a short time, a butterfly in it’s natural environment, a couple of self portraits of the artist and most significantly, recordings from Shun Ito’s “Cosmic Birds” exhibition shown at the Manciple Bank, at the International Dance Festival, Birmingham (2016) (http://www.idfb.co.uk/whats-on/cosmic…)

Musical bands appearing are Elle and the Pocket Belles as well as The Jenova Collective both playing at Swingamajig Festival 2015.

Don’t Tell…

Crazy Mobile Uploads XIII:  A Poetography video by Najma Hush.  All clips have been captured by PhotoGiraffe, using a mobile phone, creating a rustic, authentic feel to the piece.  This video features images of various swinging aerial dancers, circus performers, candid shots of dancing spectators, smoking cats and flashing lightning.  With tasters from the SwingaMaJig Fest’15 and Cirque Du Soul  (Birmingham, UK).   Although all the images and the poem are mine own, I do not own any copyrights to the music used herewith.   Other than the short clip of Nick Baya on Saxophone  playing with The Jenova Collective at the opening of this piece, the main track used to accompany this Poetography video is Vladimir Horowitz playing Frédéric Chopin’s, “Raindrop” Prelude in D flat Major, Op.28 No.15.
